September Wrap and Autumn Equinox
What can I say, September has been an absolute whirl-wind for me! In addition to my everyday work and personal life, we said goodbye to summer and hello to fall. Midwest IYT launched our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program mid-month, and last week I hosted a couple of events and two Seasonal Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy workshops!
I am so ready to collect myself and practice what I have been preaching all month long! If you missed out…September was all about grounding and balance, fall prevention, nervous system support, and practices to help your body land in autumn instead of get knocked over by it. We moved through Pain Awareness Month, World Alzheimer’s Month, Dystonia Awareness, and National Recovery Month, which is a lot of heavy things to hold, but also a reminder of why this work matters.
In case you aren’t on social media, you missed something, or you just want to revisit…here’s what we put out this month:
This month on Instagram we talked about the Autumn Equinox and what equal light and dark actually means for your body and your practice, and why you don’t have to have it together to show up, for yoga or for anything else.
